Jenkinson's Egg Hunt is a huge annual event, and Cadette Troop 908 participated in the preparations by helping to bury 15,000 eggs in the sand. There were many girl scout troops helping out with this task. Afterwards they had pizza, soda, and a visit to the aquarium-compliments of Jenkinson's. Thank you Jenkinson's…you rock!

Pictured here are Giliian, Emily and Gabby. Check out more pictures on the Shoreline Region Photo Page.

Troop 779 and Monmouth University's Community Garden. PDF Print Email
Written by Barbara DiGiovanni
Monday, 16 April 2012 10:00

Girls from GS Troop 779 volunteered some time at Monmouth University's Community Garden recently. They weeded, cleaned out stones and debris, and planted. The Garden coordinators were wonderful teachers and very appreciative of the girls' efforts. Since so much fun was had, they plan to go back twice a month.

This volunteer endeavor will help Troop 779 to complete their Junior Gardener badge. And, besides working in the garden, the girls will help the organization donate organic produce to local food banks.

If you are interested in helping out, please email Mary Johnson at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Individuals and troops are welcome!
