Sunday March 18th Freehold Girl Scout Troop 218 went to put on a Fashion Show at P.S Aeropostle at Freehold Raceway Mall. The girls were able to learn a little about fashion and how to put outfits together. After they went on a little Scavenger hunt and find certain clothes to match up. They got to try on an outfit that they picked out and model them down a red carpet runway. After they modeled themselves in the windows so the people in the mall were able to see the new styles that came out. The kids had a blast and had soooo much fun!!! They all also received a gift bag from the store filled with lipstick and nail polish as well as 30% off the entire store. They also received their Fashion Badge and a gift certificate from the store. It was a great experience and it was a Blast!!

Do You know someone who attended a GSUSA Destination or
Council Wider Op in the Past?
To celebrate all that Girl Scouting has meant over the last 100 years, Sandy Hook Region is planning a Camporee to be held at Camp Sacajawea from August 3-5, 2012. We would like to use this opportunity to allow those who attended GSUSA Destinations or Council Wider Opportunities to share their experiences with younger girls who may be interested in participating in a future event.
If you or someone you know has previously participated in a GSUSA Destination or Council Wider Op, there are two ways you can help:
- Make a tri-fold display, album, video, or DVD about your trip which you’re willing to leave on display at the Camporee.
- Volunteer some time at Camporee making yourself available at the GSUSA Destination and Council Wider Ops table to talk about your experiences and answer any questions.
The time you spend putting together your display and/or sharing your expertise may just inspire some amazing adventures! If you’d like to help out, please contact Sara Diaz by emailing
